District 9 Community Budget Meeting

The City Council is currently in the midst of deliberations on the 2013-14 Budget. Budget decisions can affect the entire range of services the City provides—everything from library and community center hours, to police staffing, to code enforcement service—and can make a significant difference in the quality of life in San Jose. The good news in this year’s budget is that the City is not experiencing large deficits as it has in some previous years. We’re actually in a position to make some modest service increases. As it decides where to add back services, it’s important for the Council to hear feedback from the community about their concerns. Every year the City holds community budget meetings in every council district to gather feedback.

Please join myself and Mayor Reed for our annual District 9 Community Budget Meeting.
