Dear Neighbor,

I’d like to let you know about a useful garbage pick-up service that my office has recently received questions about.  If you have an ongoing disability that makes you unable to move your garbage, recycling, and yard trimmings carts to the curb for collection, our Disabled On-Premise Service can help collect your garbage cart from your property. Please find instructions for enrollment here.

I’d also like to offer a reminder that San Jose's Junk Pickup program offers free appointments for residents who want large items (Such as mattresses, sofas, refrigerators and more) picked up at their homes. Please click here for more details.  I’ve talked about this service before but I like to mention it whenever I can because it’s really convenient if you have large items to get rid of.

If you’d like to contact my office, please feel free to reach out to me at (408) 535-4909 or by email at District9@sanjoseca.gov.

Sincerely,
